Terms of Trade

These Terms of Trade apply to all services supplied by Maycey Machinery Limited to business clients unless otherwise agreed in writing.

1. Definitions

“Company” means Maycey Machinery Limited.
“Client” means the person or business purchasing services from the Company.
“Services” means machinery installation and related mechanical services provided by the Company.
“Contract” means the agreement between the Company and the Client for the provision of Services.

2. Quotations and Orders

All quotations are valid for 30 days unless otherwise stated and are subject to site conditions, access, utilities and client-provided information being accurate. Orders are only accepted once confirmed in writing by the Company.

3. Scope of Services

Services will be provided in accordance with the agreed quotation or contract. Any additional work not included in the original scope shall be treated as a variation and charged separately. The Company is not responsible for delays or defects caused by third parties, site conditions or inaccurate information supplied by the Client.

4. Client Responsibilities

The Client shall ensure that the site is safe, accessible and suitable for the Services. The Client is responsible for providing accurate technical information, drawings, lifting routes, utility access and any required permits. Delays or additional costs arising from site issues may be chargeable.

5. Health and Safety

The Company operates under applicable health and safety legislation and will comply with site rules where reasonably practicable. The Client remains responsible for overall site safety and coordination with other contractors unless otherwise agreed.

6. Pricing and Payment

Unless otherwise stated, all prices are exclusive of VAT. Invoices are payable within the agreed payment terms stated on the invoice. Late payments may be subject to statutory interest and recovery costs under the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998.

7. Cancellations and Delays

If the Client cancels or postpones work after scheduling, the Company reserves the right to charge for costs incurred, including labour, transport and equipment bookings. Delays caused by the Client or third parties may result in revised pricing and programme adjustments.

8. Liability and Insurance

The Company maintains appropriate public liability insurance for the Services provided. Liability for loss or damage is limited to the value of the Services supplied unless otherwise required by law. The Company is not responsible for indirect or consequential losses including production downtime, loss of profit or business interruption.

9. Force Majeure

The Company shall not be liable for failure or delay in performing Services due to events beyond its reasonable control, including extreme weather, equipment failure, supply chain disruption, industrial action or site access restrictions.

10. Termination

Either party may terminate the Contract in writing if the other party commits a serious breach and fails to remedy it within a reasonable time. Payment remains due for Services performed up to the date of termination.

11. Confidentiality

Both parties agree to keep confidential any commercially sensitive or technical information obtained during the course of the Contract, except where disclosure is required by law.

12. Governing Law

These Terms of Trade and all Contracts are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.


If any provision of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
